What to expect
Starting therapy can bring its own anxiety, but rest assured that when you meet with me you'll find there are no surprises. I don't bully or use magic, we just talk. I may ask you some questions to help you with your life or situation and create a trusted place for you.
That's the point: we talk so YOU can grow and do the work YOU want to do to have a better life. Therapy is a time set aside for YOU. I believe therapy is a place for wonderful things to happen, and hope you find that too!
Client Comments
Pastor Thomas Schroeder
"Recently my wife was called home to be with Jesus. As a Christian and a Pastor I am sustained and comforted by the physical resurrection of Jesus and the certainty of forgiveness and eternal life. But the grief of her passing was great. It was because of that, that I sought the help of a counselor.
Rev. John Rathje has been an absolute God send to me in ways I could have never imagined. He is an awesome counselor and prayer warrior."
C.H. (Coaching Client)
"Sometimes you run across someone that has been given certain gifts that are helpful. John Rathje is one of them. God has blessed him with great listening skills, attentiveness, and a wise heart. I found all of these imperative while he walked alongside me in a mental health situation."
Rev. Steve Sutterer, Chaplain
“John provides a caring presence when sharing your concerns and feelings. He is a very capable clinician being able to take your information and give excellent and helpful feedback to help you focus on your needs. This is done in context of a caring Christian environment where God is always present to help one center and appreciate the strength of the Almighty behind his insights.”
